Scotland + Venice: What If?.../Scotland - ideas for a better place☀️

At the begining of 2020, Daniel was invited by architecture studio 7N to contribute to their project for Scotland + Venice 2021 at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition. What if…?/Scotland worked with citizens, designers and architects to explore hopes and possibilities for their places asking about their wishes for their place.

During the project, Daniel collaborated with local lad Anthony to create a series of monoprints that expressed some of his desires for future housing for care experienced young people living in Shetland. In the film, we also get a glimpse inside the Gaada workshop as Daniel speaks about the organisation's work supporting people to develop their personal voice through Gaada's visual art workshop.

Bash Art Creative created the below short film where citizens of Lerwick share their hope, wish or dream for their place. Please note that the films were shot in early 2020, before the first national lockdown. Whilst we recommend watching the whole video, Daniel and Anthony appear 5 minutes into the film.
